Why the Solana wallet market needs a no-phrase option

Solana traders and NFT collectors sign more transactions per week than most ETH users sign per month. Every extra "approve" is another chance for a malicious dApp to slip in a hostile instruction, and every seed-phrase wallet in the space is one convincing phishing page away from a full drain.

Veyrnox cuts both sides of that problem: the confirmation screen shows what you are about to sign, and the recovery model does not depend on a phrase an attacker can spoof a form for. How it works

When you set Veyrnox up, the app generates a Solana keypair inside the Secure Enclave on your iPhone. The public key becomes your Solana address — the string you paste into an exchange withdrawal or share with a friend. The private key never leaves the enclave in cleartext; iOS itself cannot extract it, and no Veyrnox process ever holds it in memory. When you tap "send" on SOL or an SPL token, the app assembles the Solana transaction, hands it to the enclave for signing behind a Face ID prompt, then broadcasts the signed transaction to a Solana RPC node. Balances and history are read straight from Solana — the wallet is a view onto on-chain state, not a database Veyrnox controls. Adding a new SPL token is a UI operation, not a key operation: the same underlying Solana keypair signs for every SPL asset held at that address.

Fees

Veyrnox charges $0 for wallet operations on Solana. Receiving SOL or SPL tokens is free. Sending only costs the Solana network fee, which is set by the network itself, deducted in SOL, and shown on the confirmation screen before you approve. There is no Veyrnox markup on the network fee, no percentage take on transaction value, and no monthly subscription required to send or receive on Solana. Ecosystem support — SPL, DEXs, and Solana NFTs

SPL is the token standard behind virtually every Solana-native asset — governance tokens, memecoins, wrapped assets, and stablecoins including USDC on Solana. Veyrnox treats SPL tokens as first-class: any SPL asset held at your address shows up in the portfolio, with balance and history. For DeFi and NFTs, Veyrnox speaks WalletConnect v2, the cross-chain standard supported by most Solana DEXs and marketplaces alongside a growing number of protocol-specific integrations. Compared to competitors

The Solana wallet market is dominated by Phantom and Solflare, both of which shipped as browser extensions first and mobile apps second. That order matters: browser-first wallets inherit the seed-phrase recovery model, the browser attack surface (malicious extensions, spoofed pop-ups, hijacked dApp origins), and a phishing pattern where an attacker only needs a convincing "verify your wallet" page to end a user's SOL. Exchange-hosted wallets like Coinbase Wallet or Binance's Web3 wallet expose the same seed-phrase model, and their custodial exchange balances add withdrawal-freeze risk on top. Security model

Solana traders sign a lot of transactions. Veyrnox's security model is designed for that reality. Every signing operation happens inside the Secure Enclave, gated by Face ID or Touch ID and the 8-digit PIN — the app cannot sign a Solana transaction without an explicit biometric approval on the confirmation screen. Recovery uses Shamir Secret Sharing: the material needed to reconstruct your keys is split into KEK-encrypted shards across your device (Secure Enclave) and your personal cloud (iCloud, OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.). Reconstitution requires both. Veyrnox holds no shard, which means Veyrnox cannot recover your wallet unilaterally and cannot be compelled to hand it over. Runtime Application Self-Protection detects rooted or jailbroken devices, active debuggers, and instrumentation frameworks, and blocks signing on compromised phones. And because the app never displays a recovery phrase, phishing sites cannot spoof a UI that does not exist — there is no 12-word input for an attacker to imitate.
