The $5 Wrench Attack — Why Hardware Wallets Don't Save You

The threat model every wallet ignores
Hardware wallets — Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard — solve remote attacks. Your keys never leave the device. Malware can't extract them. Fake sites can't drain them without you approving a transaction on the device screen.
